Bishop Maxim at Church Slava in Salt Lake City

1On the weekend of November 15th & 16th, the parish of St. Michael the Archangel hosted all the local Orthodox parishes for its Slava celebration: Antiochian, Greek, and Russian, to glorify God and His foremost Archangels, Michael and Gabriel. The true joy of the feast and of hosting our guests was experienced by all and we are deeply thankful to God for blessing us with unity and mutual love.

On Saturday evening, the liturgical celebration of the parish Slava began with a festive Vespers service with Litya and Artoklasia, concelebrated by Fr. Justin Havens, Fr. John Finley, and the host pastor Fr. Milan Dragovic. The service was enriched by the visiting Antiochian chanters, and by the newly remodeled interior of our church building, complete with a new chalice set and altar clothes. Following the evening service, our fellowship continued with a rich feast.
