June 7, 2009 - Bishop Maxim celebrates the Feast of Pentecost - at the Holy Trinity Church in Butte, Montana
On June 7th 2009, the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Butte, Montana, celebrated hierarchical Divine Liturgy with His Grace Bishop Maxim, with Fr Russell Radoichich and Deacon Theophan Weise. The Feast of Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit is the Slava of the Parish. On this day, as a hymn says, We celebrate the feast of Pentecost and the coming of the Spirit, the appointed day of the promise, the fulfillment of hope. How majestic and great is the mystery! Therefore we cry aloud to you: Glory to You, O Lord and Creator of all! The Liturgy was followed by luncheon with musical entertainment.
The next day, June 8, in Dillon, University of Montana Western, His Grace, Bishop Maxim gave a presentation on Christian Orthodox History & Theology.

Come, O people,
let us worship the Godhead in three persons:
the Son in the Father, with the Holy Spirit.
For the Father timelessly begot the Son,
co-eternal and co-enthroned with Him;
and the Holy Spirit was in the Father and is
glorified with the Son.
We worship one Power, one Essence,
one Godhead, and we say:
Holy God, You created all things through Your Sonwith the cooperation of the Holy Spirit.
Holy Mighty, through You we know the Father;
through You the Holy Spirit came
to dwell in the world.
Holy Immortal, Comforting Spirit,
You proceed from the Father and rest in the Son.
O Holy Trinity, glory to You!

Blessed are You, O Christ our God;
for You have shown the fishermen
to be most wiseby sending down on
them the Holy Spirit
and through them catching all
the world in Your net.
Glory to You,
O good God Who love mankind!

Montana is a state in the Western United States. The western third of the state contains numerous mountain ranges; other 'island' ranges are found in the central third of the state, for a total of 77 named ranges of the Rocky Montains. This geographic and geographical fact is reflected in the state's name, derived from the Spanish word montana (mountain). The state nickname is the "Treasure State." Other nicknames include "Land of Shining Mountains," "Big Sky Country," and the slogan "The Last Best Place." The state ranks fourth in area, but 44th in population, and therefore has the third lowest population density in the United States. The economy is primarily based on ranching, wheat farming, oil and coal in the east; lumber, tourism, and hard rock mining in the west. Millions of tourists annually visit Glacier National Park, the Battle of Little Bighorn site, and three of the five entrances to Yellowstone National Park.
