Redding, California - On Saturday, January 3rd, Bishop Maxim visited and served the Divine Liturgy in Redding. Concelebrating priest were Iguman Gerasim of Platina, fr Lazar, fr Michael Boyle, two priest from Brasil, Rafael and Pedro, and Fr Jovan Babic. Hierarchical Divine Liturgy started at 10.00am, and some 60 people attended and participated in this Eucharistic event. Following the Holy Liturgy, there was a lunch. The Liturgy was be at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. The church is in the basement of the Lorenz Hotel, a large 5-6 story red brick building on California St. After all, Fr Michael kindly showed to the Bishop the new church property in Anderson.
The next day, there was another liturgical celebration presided by Bishop Maxim - in Holy Trinity Church in Moraga.
