Orthodox Steps of Spiritual Transformation
A pan-Orthodox clergy retreat was held, December 7–9, 2010 atthe St. Nicholas Ranch and RetreatCenter in Dunlap, California (near Fresno). Present at the retreat, together with 120 priests, were the following hierarchs of various Orthodox jurisdictions of California: Metropolitan Gerasimos (Greek Orthodox Church), Bishop Joseph (Bulgarian Patriarchal Church), Bishop Maxim (Serbian Orthodox Church), and Bishop Benjamin (Orthodox Church in America). Archbishop Kyrill (Russian Orthodox Church Abroad) was absent.
The retreat, presented by Archimandrite Meletios Webber, Abbot of the St. John the Wonderworker Monastery of Manton, California (OCA), was entitled: "Physician Heal Thyself.” Orthodox Steps to Spiritual Transformation. Fr. Meletios made a presentation on this subject, based upon the Gospel of St. Luke 4:23.
